Musical Director
MATTHEW ROUGHLEY
Matthew became the musical director of N-Choir in September 2019. A conductor who trained with Sing For Pleasure and works with many major arts organisations around the UK including; The Halle, Sing for Pleasure, Opera North and the National Youth Choirs.

Alongside his conducting work and leading N-Choir, Matthew is a workshop leader, arranger and music educator and is the founder and artistic director of Manchester Vocal Ensemble and Sale Youth Choirs.

Accompanist
PETER DURRANT
Pete Durrant is the accompanist of St George's Singers, N-Choir and works at the Royal Northern College of Music and Junior RNCM as an accompanist.
​
Peter grew up in London, where he was a chorister at Westminster Abbey. During his time at the Abbey he toured worldwide and sang at many high-profile events, including the funeral of Princess Diana. He studied music at the University of Manchester, before completing a Masters in Piano Performance at the RNCM, studying with Jeremy Young and Colin Stone.

Recently, Pete has played with the BBC Philharmonic and Halle Orchestra, and has worked with Manchester Chamber Choir, Stafford Choral Society, Keele Bach Choir, BBCSO Chorus, Manchester University Chorus, Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus, Sheffield Chorale, Marple Choral Society, the Halle Youth, Training and Children's Choirs.

Pete was also the conductor of Leek Choral Society, for whom he composed his Requiem for in 2018.
